Divine Story, Benefits, and Sacred Sevas of this Auspicious Puja

Naag Dosha, also called Naga Dosha or Sarpa Dosha, is a key concept in Vedic astrology. It occurs due to the anger of serpent deities (Naags) and is believed to bring negative effects caused by past karma. Hindu scriptures consider serpents sacred, powerful, and protectors of natural spirits and cosmic energy. Naag Dosha is linked to past actions, such as disrespecting serpents, their shrines, or ancestors, resulting in karmic imbalances or misdeeds in a previous life.

Please Note: Kaal Sarp Dosha and Naag Dosha Nivaran Puja are separate rituals. Kaal Sarp Dosha occurs when all planets are trapped between Rahu and Ketu, causing life challenges, delays, and misfortune.

Impact of Rahu and Ketu in Nag Dosh

Naag Dosha is linked to the planetary positions of Rahu (the serpent's head) and Ketu (the serpent's tail). Rahu symbolizes desires, chaos, and material pursuits, while Ketu represents spiritual growth and liberation. Poor placement of these planets in a birth chart can cause life challenges, including delays in marriage, difficulties in conceiving children, marital problems, or even the untimely loss of a spouse.

Causes of Nag Dosh

Nag Dosh is believed to arise due to karmic and physical factors, including:

  • Improper cremation or incomplete rituals for ancestors.
  • Untimely or unnatural deaths (e.g., accident, murder, or suicide).
  • Wrongdoings by ancestors, such as harming an unborn child.
  • Curses or black magic from forefathers.
  • Disrespecting or harming serpents or their shrines.

Nag Dosh Parihara Puja

Nag Dosh Parihara Puja is a spiritual remedy to reduce the negative effects of Naag Dosha and bring peace and balance to life. The puja includes rituals, prayers, and offerings to please Shri Vishnu, Shri Shiva, Rahu, Ketu, and serpent deities. It is especially beneficial for those with Nag Dosh in their horoscope, helping to neutralize its harmful effects.
