Divine Story, Benefits, and Sacred Sevas of this Auspicious Puja

The Sacred Role of Bhagwan Vishnu – The Preserver of the Universe

In Sanatana Dharma, Bhagwan Vishnu is the eternal preserver, the one who maintains balance in the universe and protects all beings. Along with Brahma (the creator) and Shiva (the transformer), he forms the divine Trimurti. Vishnu ensures that dharma, truth, and harmony are upheld in every age (Yuga).

Why Saturday Is Auspicious for Bhagwan Vishnu

Though Shanivar (Saturday) is popularly associated with Shani Deva, it is also a deeply spiritual day to worship Bhagwan Vishnu, the protector and sustainer. Ancient scriptures describe that Shani Deva himself is a great devotee of Narayana. On this day, offering prayers to Vishnu and Mata Lakshmi helps pacify karmic influences, balance planetary energies, and remove long-standing struggles related to wealth, stability, and peace.

Performing Lakshmi Narayana Seva on Shanivar blesses the devotee with strength to overcome karmic burdens, attract steady prosperity, and maintain balance between spiritual and worldly life.

Divine Forms of Shri Lakshmi Narayana

  • Mata Lakshmi (Sridevi): The goddess of wealth, good fortune, and divine grace. She grants abundance and inner peace to her devotees.
  • Mata Bhudevi: The compassionate goddess of Earth, representing fertility, nourishment, and stability. She is the divine embodiment of the sustaining power of nature.
  • Together, Vishnu, Lakshmi, and Bhudevi represent the unity of protection, prosperity, and sustenance - the very essence of a balanced and harmonious life.

Sacred Legends of Vishnu, Lakshmi, and Bhudevi

1. Samudra Manthan - The Birth of Lakshmi Devi:
During the great churning of the cosmic ocean, Mata Lakshmi emerged holding a lotus and chose Bhagwan Vishnu as her eternal companion. This union symbolizes divine harmony - where dharma and prosperity coexist.

2. Varaha Avatar - The Rescue of Bhudevi:
When Earth (Bhudevi) was submerged in the cosmic ocean by the asura Hiranyaksha, Vishnu took the form of Varaha (Divine Boar) and lifted her back to safety. This act reflects his boundless compassion and his vow to protect creation.

3. Vishnu’s Guardianship of the Universe:
In many Puranas, when Bhudevi faced imbalance caused by adharma, Vishnu restored cosmic order with Lakshmi’s blessings. This reminds devotees that when one surrenders to Vishnu and Lakshmi, both spiritual and material peace return.

Why Worship Vishnu Along With Mata Lakshmi and Mata Bhudevi on Saturdays

  • Brings Karmic Relief and Balance: Shanivar is ideal for cleansing past karma and gaining divine protection. Vishnu restores peace while Lakshmi blesses abundance, and Bhudevi grounds life with stability.
  • Attracts Prosperity and Stability: The combined energy of Vishnu and Lakshmi draws wealth that stays - not fleeting gains, but lasting prosperity.
  • Promotes Health and Positivity: Bhudevi’s nurturing energy supports vitality, healing, and harmony within the home.
  • Removes Negativity and Planetary Troubles: Worship on Saturday calms Shani’s influence and protects from misfortunes and stress.
  • Guides Spiritual Growth: Vishnu symbolizes dharma and wisdom, helping devotees live a life of truth, devotion, and inner fulfillment.
